Flagging and Reporting

How to report content and users on Rank The Globe™

Rank The Globe™ is committed to building a safer and more reliable platform for all. To this end, we rely on user reports to notify our Content Quality Team of any potentially illegal, inappropriate, or non-compliant content with our Terms of Use.

We encourage you to file a report if you come across any such content.

Types of Reportable Content

You can file reports on specific content or elements of a board, as well as on general content associated with any user(s), such as:

  1. Board Data (e.g. inappropriate board titles, topics, individual board items)
  2. User Profile (e.g. inappropriate username, user bio)
  3. Messages (e.g. harassment, inappropriate communications)

Reporting Ranking Boards/ Recreation Boards

Step 1: Locate the "three dots" at the top-right corner of each board:

Step 2: A menu should appear from the bottom of your screen. Select the option that begins with "Report"

Step 3: Select all the content you want to include in your report, and proceed to "Select a reason".

Step 4: Select a reason why you are reporting the content.

Step 5: Click "Submit" when you're ready to submit the report.

Reporting Messages

Private Messages

Step 1: Navigate to the message thread or chat room at issue

Step 2: Long press on the individual message. From the options, press: "Report Message."

Step 3: Follow the steps to select applicable content and reason.

Step 4: Click "Submit" when you're ready to submit the report.

Discussion Rooms

Step 1: Click on the message icon to open the discussion room for that particular board.

Step 2: Click on the "Flag" Icon beside the message you want to report:

Step 3: Follow the steps to select the applicable content and reason → Submit.

Reporting User Profiles

You can report user profiles through:

  1. the search results,
  2. the Members list of messaging rooms, and
  3. the following/ followers tabs

Step 1: Press the "Flag" Icon.

Step 2: Select whether you want to report the profile's username and bio.

Step 3: Select a reason

Step 4: Click "Submit" when you're ready to submit the report.

Flagging & Reporting (Web)

Reporting Board Content

1. Click on the "flag" icon next to the board to the board type, as seen below:

Note: W does not require users to have an account to report content or other users.

2. Check the individual content to report.

Note: The option to report a board title is only visible if the board creator has a title set.

Note: You must select at least one piece of content to initiate a report. There is no limit to the amount of content you can report.

3. Select a reason why you think the content you've selected in the previous step has violated our terms of use and community rules:

4. Click "Submit" to submit the report

 

Reporting User Profiles

1, Navigate to the user profile you want to report. The URL should follow this pattern: https://www.ranktheglobe.com/user/{username}.

2. Click on the flag icon:

3. Select whether you want to report the profile's username and/or bio.

Note: The option to report a user's bio is only visible if the user has a bio set.
